Watching my sons approach manhood forced me to confront the holes in my own upbringing—the things I was never taught about truth, purpose, and the world’s real battles. Bitcoin is the rifleman’s code written in code — self-reliant, disciplined, and impossible to centralize. The Marine Corps teaches that freedom is maintained through proof of work, not words, and Bitcoin mirrors that truth in the digital realm. Semper Fidelis means always faithful; Semper Decentralis means always verified — the same fight, different battlefield.

This piece is a manifesto for the men who run toward the sound of gunfire—those who choose mission over comfort, truth over safety, and conviction over consensus. It draws parallels between special operations training, early Bitcoin conviction, and the building of Nostr as modern tests of courage and principle. The message: you’ve been selected—now complete the mission.

If content is worth $1 to you right now, zap the equivalent in today’s sats and stop doing mental gymnastics about what they might be worth later.
