Secret societies didn’t exist because men loved secrets. They existed because the platform betrayed them.

The U.S. national security state operates through a black budget system engineered to bypass public oversight, using classification, private contractors, and fiat money to wage wars and run covert operations with zero accountability. The petrodollar gave Washington a financial incentive to dominate the Middle East and destroy any government that threatened dollar supremacy, all funded invisibly through debt and monetary expansion. Hard structural reforms, including Bitcoin’s fixed monetary rules and genuine congressional oversight, are the only way to force these costs into the open, because a system this corrupt cannot be fixed by trusting better people to run it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The network effect paradox reveals that as centralized platforms grow, they capture all the value while individual users become increasingly replaceable and powerless, trapped by metrics that mean nothing. Modern education operates as a control system built on the factory model, trapping students in debt while delivering credentials that signal compliance rather than capability. Decentralized protocols like Nostr and Bitcoin offer a way out: permissionless peer-to-peer learning where students build visible proof of work instead of expensive credentials, with direct value exchange replacing debt bondage. Those building proof of work now emerge with portfolios and reputations that matter more than diplomas.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Human flourishing hinges on surviving long enough for the compounding effects of patience to take hold. High time preference cultures collapse under their own immediacy, while Bitcoin offers a protocol level path back to long term thinking and durable prosperity.

Watching my sons approach manhood forced me to confront the holes in my own upbringing—the things I was never taught about truth, purpose, and the world’s real battles.
